A 2009 systematic review found that organically produced foodstuffs are not richer in vitamins and minerals than conventionally produced foodstuffs. The results of the systematic review only showed a lower nitrogen and higher phosphorus content in organic produced compared to conventionally grown foodstuffs.

North America and Europe are the major users of organic farming and organic seeds and stand for over half of the global industry, developed nations are all moving towards organic farming increasingly every day. Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing region with the highest growth rate which comes as no surprise given the rising disposable income of the layman has given him incentive to eat better and the developing nation’s governments are supporting the cause with favorable regulatory framework.

The only Cons of Organic Farming are that organically produced products are expensive and time consuming which can both be overcome by proper economic scaling and technological innovations, distribution and marketing optimizations.

Organic Farming is picking up a good pace and being promoted worldwide by government and private industries alike, there shortcomings that need to be overcome but a better future which is both safe and feasible is very much possible.
