The company’s surgical heart valve therapy product line includes tissue heart valves and heart valve repair products such as annuloplasty rings and systems, for the surgical replacement or repair of a patient’s heart valve. The portfolio also includes a line of products used during minimally invasive aortic heart valve system used during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures and smaller incisions.

The company’s critical care product line includes advanced monitoring systems, pulmonary artery catheters and disposable pressure monitoring devices. The company develops and markets hemodynamic monitoring systems for measuring heart function in surgical and intensive care settings. Edwards’ hemodynamic monitoring technologies are utilized before, during and after open-heart, major vascular, major abdominal, neurological and orthopedic surgical procedures, as well as for acutely ill patients with conditions such as sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome and multi-organ failure.
Edwards manufactures and markets the Swan-Ganz line of pulmonary artery catheters, and the PreSep continuous venous oximetry catheter for measuring central venous oxygen saturation. In addition, Edwards’ hemodynamic monitoring product line also includes the minimally invasive FloTrac system and the noninvasive ClearSight system. Its VolumeView sensor-catheter set measures a critically ill patient’s volumetric hemodynamic parameters, while the EV1000 touch-screen clinical monitoring platform displays a patient’s physiologic status. Edwards also offers disposable pressure monitoring devices and innovative closed blood sampling systems to protect both patients and clinicians from the risk of infection. Under the critical care product line, Edwards also manufactures and sells a variety of products used to treat endolumenal occlusive disease including the Fogarty line of embolectomy catheters. The critical care product line recorded revenues of $560.3 million in FY2016, anincrease of 6% compared to FY2015.
Geographically, the US, Edwards’ largest geographic market, accounted for 54.5% of the total revenues in FY2016.
