Grupo Televisa serves subscribers across Latin America, the US, Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Grupo Televisa operates through four business segments: content, cable, Sky, and other businesses.

The segment is engaged in television broadcast operations and programming production. The segment primarily offers advertising; network subscription; and licensing and syndication. Its television broadcast operations include the production of television programming and broadcasting of Channels 2, 4, 5 and 9 (television networks). It also sells advertising time on programs provided to pay-television (Pay-TV) networks and internet business and the production of television programming and broadcasting for local television stations in Mexico and the US. The broadcasting of television networks is performed by television repeater stations in Mexico which are wholly-owned, majority-owned or minority-owned by the company or otherwise affiliated with the company’s networks. The company offers direct-to-home (DTH) satellite and cable television services. These programming services for cable and pay-per-view television companies are provided in Mexico, other countries in Latin America, the US and Europe. The programming services consist of both programming produced by the company and programming produced by others. In addition, the company offers program licensing and syndication. The company’s television programming is licensed and syndicated to customers abroad, including Univision.

Grupo Televisa’s cable segment includes the operation of a cable multiple system in the Mexico City metropolitan area, and the operation of telecommunication facilities through a fiber-optic network that covers cities and economic regions of Mexico and the cities of San Antonio and San Diego in the US (Bestel). It also includes the operations of telecommunication networks covering 60 cities of Mexico (Cablemas); and the operation of a cable multiple system covering Monterrey and suburban areas (Cablevision); the operation of a cable multiple system covering 79 cities of Mexico (Cablecom); and the operation of a cable multiple system covering 67 cities of Mexico (Telecable). In addition, this segment provides data and long-distance services solutions to carriers and other telecommunications service providers through its fiber-optic network.

The Sky segment includes DTH broadcast satellite Pay-TV services in Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic. The revenues of this segment are primarily derived from program services, installation fees and equipment rental to subscribers, and national advertising sales.

The other businesses segment includes the company’s domestic operations in sports and show business promotion, soccer, feature film production and distribution, gaming, radio, publishing and publishing distribution.
